As part of the initiative under the Strengthening Institutions and Empowering Localities Against Disasters and Climate Change (SHIELD) Programme supported by the Australian Government and implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Philippines, together with consortium and government partners, Philippine Business for Social Progress (PBSP) leads interventions to improve the economic resilience of target communities through risk informed Value Chain Analysis (VCA) of key commodities and development of Business Continuity Plans (BCP) of industries and/or private sector players, with the aim to make communities safer and more resilient to the impacts of multiple hazards and climate change.
