UN Country Team in Albania is following closely the situation of COVID-19 breakout and is working with health authorities through the World Health Organization (WHO) country office in Albania.

The situation requires from all citizens to follow the guidance provided by the health authorities.  Particular attention must be placed on respecting hygiene advice and contact health emergency number 127 in case of concerns.

The measures that have been taken by the government are necessary to contain the spread of the virus.

In this situation, with the first COVID-19 cases confirmed in Albania it is normal for people to worry but as long as the advised measures are applied there is no reason to panic.

Following the WHO guidance, UN Albania advises the following:

Be informed: It is very important that people have all the necessary information about the disease and how the virus is transmitted and how it can be contained.

Be careful: Be careful but do not panic. Protect yourself, your family and others from getting infected and if you have fever and cough contact the health authorities to get support.

Be alert: Use the information that you have received to prevent taking unnecessary risks that can expose you to the virus.  

Be kind: Be considerate and kind with other people. No one wishes to be infected but if this happens be supportive and empathic to another people’s situation. Everyone’s rights must be respected.  At the same time make sure that all protective measures are taken.

Deklaratë e ekipit të agjencive OKB në Shqipëri mbi situatën e përhapjes së virusit COVID-19

Ekipi i agjencive OKB në Shqipëri po ndjek me vëmendje situatën e përhapjes së virusit COVID-19 dhe po punon me autoritetet shëndetësore përmes zyrës vendore të Organizatës Botërore të Shëndetësisë (OBSH) në Shqipëri.

Situata kërkon nga të gjithë qytetarët që të ndjekin udhëzimet e dhëna nga autoritetet shëndetësore. Vëmendje e veçantë duhet t'i kushtohet respektimit të këshillave të higjenës dhe në rast shqetësimesh të kontaktohet me numrin e urgjencës shëndetësore 127.

Masat që janë marrë nga Qeveria janë të nevojshme për të frenuar përhapjen e virusit.

Në këtë situatë, me rastet e para të COVID-19 të konfirmuara në Shqipëri është normale që njerëzit të shqetësohen, por për sa kohë që aplikohen masat e këshilluara, nuk ka arsye për të panikuar.

Sipas udhëzimimeve të OBSH-së, OKB Shqipëri këshillon si më poshtë:

INFORMOHUNI: është shumë e rëndësishme që njerëzit të marrin të gjithë informacionin e nevojshëm në lidhje me sëmundjen, mënyrën se si transmetohet virusi dhe si mund të mbahet në kontroll.

TREGONI KUJDES: Tregoni kujdes, por mos u përfshini nga paniku. Mbroni veten, familjen tuaj dhe të tjerët nga infektimi dhe nëse keni temperaturë dhe kollë kontaktoni autoritetet e shëndetit për të marrë ndihmën e nevojshme.

JINI VIGJILENT: Përdorni informacionin që keni marrë për të parandaluar marrjen e rreziqeve të panevojshme që mund t'ju ekspozojnë ndaj virusit.

JINI TË SJELLSHËM: Tregoni mirëkuptim dhe jini të sjellshëm me njerëzit e tjerë. Askush nuk dëshiron të infektohet, por nëse kjo ndodh, bëhuni mbështetës dhe dashamirës ndaj situatës së një personi tjetër. Të drejtat e secilit duhet të respektohen. Në të njëjtën kohë sigurohuni që të merren të gjitha masat mbrojtëse.
