Enhancing resilience of remote communities in Aral Sea regions of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan
The Project goal is to address the environmental, health, social and food insecurities in the most vulnerable communities of the target districts through bringing comprehensive solutions in addressing the environmental issues, promoting access to basic services, improving the livelihoods through development of resource-efficient agriculture and animal husbandry practices & provision of access to clean drinking water through the implementation of innovative technologies & alternative energy sources.
The project is composed of three сomponents:
Establish a safe & reliable drinking water supply system at two locations Kazaly district and Aral district;
Improve water supply systems in remote pastures of Amanotkel village in Aral district;
Training programs for local communities, households & farmers on WASH practices, installation maintenance of renewable energy sources.
