In partnership with the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Serbia and with financial support from the European Union, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the World Health Organization (WHO) in Serbia are launching a series of training sessions to help citizens, doctors and healthcare professionals use the eHealth digital platform.

The pilot training sessions will be held on 27 and 28 July at the Niš Health Centre (15 Vojvode Tankosića Street) and on 29 July at the Leskovac Health Centre (116 Svetozara Markovića Street).

The eHealth platform and mobile application give citizens secure access to their electronic health records, medical reports, laboratory test results and sick leave certificates. Through the app, users can also book appointments with their chosen primary care physician, view prescribed medications and monitor their treatment.

The training is being delivered as part of the "EU for Healthcare in Serbia" project, funded by the European Union and implemented by UNDP and WHO in partnership with the Ministry of Health.

By the end of 2026, the training programme will reach 15 cities across Serbia. Following the pilot sessions in Niš and Leskovac, training will also be organised in Novi Sad, Pančevo, Belgrade, Kragujevac, Vršac, Sremska Mitrovica, Valjevo, Zaječar, Užice, Čačak, Kraljevo, Vranje, Novi Pazar and Bor.

From September onwards, the programme will expand beyond primary healthcare centres to include the University Clinical Centre of Serbia and the Clinical Centre of Vojvodina. Training sessions will also be organised at local government premises, public enterprises and pensioners' associations in cities and municipalities where such associations operate.

The "EU for Healthcare in Serbia" project aims to strengthen the resilience of Serbia's healthcare system and enhance its capacity to respond to public health threats in line with EU and international standards.
