Manila, Philippines – The SDG Venture Scaler (SVS) Program, implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) with support from the Centre for Impact Investing and Practices (CIIP), showcased nine ventures during the SVS Investor Clinic held last 02 December 2025. The participating ventures namely, Altillium Green Energy, Bizsu, CP Health Innovations, Crop Connect PH, Empath, Eskwelabs, InvestEd, Kloudtech Corporation, and TeenUp Vietnam, are either currently operating in the Philippine market or are expanding their operations in the country.

Launched in October 2024, the SVS Program supported impact-driven ventures in Southeast Asia to scale their solutions aligned to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and attract fit-for-purpose capital, ultimately validating the investability of these solutions. The program received over 200 applications, and a cohort of 29 ventures from Vietnam, Indonesia, and the Philippines was selected to participate in a unique accelerator program that blended business scaling strategies, SDG Impact Measurement and Management (IMM), application of behavioral science for business and impact scale, government partnerships, and thematic expert sessions.

UNDP Philippines Deputy Resident Representative Edwine Carrie opened the Investor Clinic by congratulating the nine ventures that completed the nine-month program designed to help them grow their impact and scale their business. He underscored that, “sustainability is extremely important both at the global scene and also in the Philippines, particularly in boosting innovation and competitiveness.” He further highlighted the need to support micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) by equipping them with skills and sustainability strategies to tap into wider markets to advance an agenda of economic diversification to achieve sustainable growth.

The Investor Clinic marked the culmination of the SVS program, introducing promising and innovative enterprises to potential investors and key ecosystem stakeholders. The nine ventures presented their updated impact metrics, growth targets, partnership and investment needs, and facilitated matchmaking sessions with impact investors and government programs.

In her message, CIIP Director Chii Fen Hiu affirmed that: “At CIIP, we believe that a whole-of-ecosystem approach is needed to support impact innovators to truly scale their impact, and in light of the current geopolitical landscape, the time for Asian leadership is now. We cannot do this alone, as climate and sustainability issues know no bounds, so we are grateful to collaboratively drive forward sustainable development in areas that need it the most.

The event also featured a panel discussion titled “Catalyzing Capital for Impact: Scaling SDG Ventures in the Philippines,” which brought together impact investors, entrepreneurs, and the government to explore strategies for unlocking capital and scaling SDG-aligned ventures. Panelists included Maoi Arroyo (Ignite Impact Fund), JT Solis (Mayani), Toby Floro (Kaya Founders), and Atty. Diego Santiago (Department of Planning, Economy, and Development). The discussion emphasized how blended finance, catalytic partnerships, and policy innovation can accelerate the country’s progress towards achieving the SDGs.

Two ventures received special recognition during the event, with InvestEd receiving the Pitch of the Day Award (jury vote), while Altillium Green Energy received the People’s Choice Award (audience vote).
