The Skills Development for Employment Programme supports Albanian counterparts in the employment and VET sector in utilizing skills intelligence for evidence-based policy design and implementation. 

This digitalization impact assessment, conducted in collaboration with Alcognition GmbH, aims to measure the degree of digitalization across three priority economic sectors in Albania: energy, hospitality and tourism, and ICT. It also seeks to analyze the diversification of digitalization professions within these sectors. 

The report examines how businesses are adopting digital tools and technologies, identifies skills gaps, and provides policy-oriented recommendations to accelerate Albania’s transition toward a digital economy. 

Findings show that while ICT is driving progress and innovation, the tourism and energy sectors remain at earlier stages of digital maturity, underscoring the need for stronger workforce training and digital infrastructure, enhanced collaboration across economic sectors, and closer cooperation between academia and the private sector.
