Project Summary:
The overall objective of this project is to strengthen the cyber resilience and security of Moldova's public sector, specifically targeting the Ministry of Justice and associated agencies, to protect against cyber threats and ensure the uninterrupted delivery of critical services essential for human security.
This initiative aims to create a robust cybersecurity framework that protects not only against immediate threats but also ensures the long-term security and resilience of Moldova's public sector, thereby safeguarding the essential services that underpin human security.
Objectives:
- Develop and implement internal cybersecurity policies and protocols;
- Upgrade the existing ICT environment to the latest technologies and standards;
- Enhance the cyber capacities of staff.
Expected results:
- Prioritization exercise of required cybersecurity policies, regulations within the Ministry of Justice and the network of its subordinated institutions conducted;
- Tailored cybersecurity policies and regulations (internal procedures) in alignment with national and international standards developed and implemented;
- Training and awareness programs among beneficiaries on the newly drafted procedures for cyber security conducted;
- Cybersecurity hardware and software solutions deployed at the Ministry of Justice;
- Cybersecurity audit of the National Institute of Justice conducted;
- Cybersecurity Capacity Development Programme targeting the staff of Ministry of Justice and the network of its subordinated institutions conducted.
Accomplishments:
- 30 justice professionals strengthened their capacities in cybersecurity by completing a comprehensive training programme.
