Overall Objective	To improve the flow of vehicles and pedestrians crossing by expanding the Agios Dometios/Metahan Crossing point.

Description of investment	The intended works will encompass: Excavation works; Earthworks; Paving; Electrical and mechanical works; and Landscaping. The boundaries of the project are limited to an area within the UN Buffer Zone.
Intended beneficiary	Direct beneficiaries: Turkish Cypriot community and Greek Cypriot community of Nicosia and its surroundings Indirect beneficiaries: Turkish Cypriot community and Greek Cypriot community
Scope of works	Traffic at the Agios Dometios/Metahan crossing has been increasing in recent years. It has now reached its maximum capacity. The result is that vehicle queues are very long and crossing time can sometimes exceed 2 hours, especially during the weekends.
