Description of investment

The potential investments under this project are:

  • Replacement of light fixtures in parks;
  • Replacement of AC systems with more efficient ones;
  • Installation of an automated irrigation system.

Based on cost benefit analyses, the investments bringing the best benefits will be considered. 

Intended beneficiary

Direct beneficiaries: local communities (LC) of Dikomo/Dikmen and Kythrea/Degirmenlik

Indirect beneficiaries: Dikomo/Dikmen and Kythrea/Degirmenlik community members

Scope of works

Energy use by the local community of Lefka/Lefke is inefficient and results in higher energy cost for the LC. Given the limited financial resources of the LC, this creates a burden that limits the ability of the LC in improving the provision of services to its population.
