Direct beneficiaries: local community of Kyrenia

Indirect beneficiaries: citizens of Kyrenia

Scope of works

The city of Kyrenia operates 7 sewage pumping stations that serve more than 35,000 people. More than 2,7 million cubic meters of raw sewage is transported each year through the system. Pumping stations consume an estimated 700,000 kWh of electricity per year. Taking into account that the population of Kyrenia is increasing rapidly, there is a need to improve the Kyrenia sewerage pumping system through the introduction of smart pumps operated through an automated system. This will allow a reduction in energy consumption while enabling an increased capacity.
