New York – The Government of Spain has renewed its partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) through a contribution of USD 7.5 million (EUR 6.5 million) in core resources for 2025. This marks a tenfold increase in Spain’s core funding over the past three years. 

At a moment where global cooperation is more crucial than ever, Spain’s increased commitment to UNDP’s global development initiatives underscores its strong belief in multilateralism and its dedication to helping achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). 

UNDP’s partnership with Spain delivers long-lasting results where they are needed most. Together, we advance the SDGs across Latin America, the Caribbean, Sub-Saharan Africa, and in countries facing acute pressures such as Ukraine and Lebanon. Our work spans inequality, climate action, electoral support, crisis response and human development, building a more peaceful, inclusive and sustainable future for all.
