Project Board Meeting of the national Graduation-Based Social Protection Programme

The General Secretariat of the National Social Protection Council (GS-NSPC) of Ministry of Economy and Finance, together with UNDP Cambodia, on 18 September co-hosted the 1st Project Board Meeting of the national Graduation-Based Social Protection Programme (GBSP). 

The significance of the meeting was that the initiative brought together representatives from government and sub-national authorities, as well as development partners invested in the social protection space in Cambodia, wiring the facility with comprehensive experience offered by a multitude of partners:

Government partners:

✅ National Social Assistance Fund 
✅ Ministry of Planning 
✅ Ministry of Interior 
✅ Ministry of Social Affairs, Veterans and Youth Rehabilitation
✅ Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries

Donors and development partners:

✅ The Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade through 🇩🇪 GIZ Cambodia 
✅ The Government of Ireland’s International Development Programme through the Embassy of Ireland, Vietnam
✅ Asian Development Bank (ADB) 

The meeting endorsed the 2026–2027 workplan and reviewed progress in supporting 4,195 vulnerable households in Kampong Chhnang and Preah Vihear provinces. It also reaffirmed our shared commitment to strengthening livelihoods, local governance, evidence-based learning and stakeholder engagement to support poverty graduation and inclusive development in Cambodia.
