The Price Comparator for electricity and natural gas is launched
October 1, 2026
The National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE) launched the Price Comparator for electricity and natural gas, a free public digital tool designed for both household and non-household consumers.
The Price Comparator is available on ANRE’s official website and can be used by all consumers seeking to compare electricity and natural gas offers in a simple and transparent manner.
The tool was developed with the support of UNDP Moldova and the Government of Italy, as part of broader efforts to strengthen transparency and improve consumers’ access to relevant information about the energy market.
The launch of the Price Comparator comes in the context of the liberalization of the natural gas and electricity markets, which gives consumers the opportunity to assess and choose among the offers available from different suppliers. As the market becomes more diverse, access to clear and comparable information is essential to enable consumers to assess the available options and make informed decisions based on their individual consumption profile and contractual terms.
The Price Comparator responds to this need by bringing together relevant information on available offers in a single, standardized and user-friendly tool. Consumers can therefore more easily compare estimated costs and the main terms and conditions of different offers, without having to collect and analyse information separately from each supplier.
To obtain results, users select the type of energy, specify their locality, consumer category and connection level, and enter their estimated annual consumption. Based on the information provided, the tool displays the available offers and their estimated annual costs.
Through the Price Comparator, consumers can gain a clearer overview of the offers available on the market and compare their terms and conditions before making a decision on electricity or natural gas supply.
The Price Comparator is not a trading platform and does not automatically switch suppliers. The tool is intended for information purposes only, while the choice of supplier and the conclusion of a supply contract remain entirely at the consumer’s discretion.
The results displayed are estimates and depend on the information entered by the user, actual consumption and the terms and conditions of each offer. Consumers should therefore not base their choice solely on the estimated cost, but should also consider the duration of the contract, the price structure and other applicable terms and conditions.
