Rehabilitation of the public lighting and the electric grid in Janjevë/Janjevo Project

The project aims to meet urgent community needs while establishing access to electricity that enhances safety and security of, especially women and young people, and improves the overall well-being of Janjevë/Janjevo inhabitants.

Goals (What do we want to achieve).

Ensure community safety, well-being, and sustainable development by modernizing the electricity grid and rehabilitating the public lighting system in Janjevë/Janjevo.

Support cultural tourism and heritage-led development by improving public safety and infrastructure, making Janjevë/Janjevo more accessible and attractive to visitors.

Output:

The electricity grid and public lighting system in Janjevë/Janjevo rehabilitated and expanded to underserved areas.

Expected Results

Feasibility study completed and project design prepared.

Interventions implemented in the electricity grid and streetlight system.

Installation of new, energy-efficient streetlight fixtures throughout Janjevë/Janjevo.

Safer mobility for residents, particularly vulnerable groups such as the elderly, women, and children, during evening and night hours.

Reduced risks of electrical failures, power outages, and appliance damage through modernization of the grid.

Increased attractiveness of Janjevë/Janjevo for visitors and businesses through improved public safety and infrastructure.
