The path to equality is to end violence against women
For years, 16 Days of Activism has been a movement to move the needle of inequality and bring justice to women. But, you’re not alone! This is a collective action. There are many out there who already start and thrive to end violence (GBV), to stand up for human rights, equality, and dignity for all.
For 16 days, we unite in activism. Every action counts. Whether it's treating others with respect and dignity regardless of gender, raising your voice, educating your community, advocating for policy change, or supporting survivors, every step moves us closer to a world free from violence and inequality.
We are Changemakers.
From classrooms to boardrooms, from homes to halls of power, we are reshaping the norms. Educators teaching equality, organisations amplifying women's voices, and every individual who dares to challenge the status quo. Policy makers ensure the enabling environment for free-from-violence, the government ensures effective systems for accountability, companies ensure safe space for women and men to work and make — this is our movement.
When we end violence against women, we push progress towards achieving gender equality and the SDGs, allowing women and girls to be empowered fully, and ensuring every person has the right to live free from fear. We fight for justice, not just through laws, but through shifting mindsets, breaking down barriers, and creating real, lasting change.
