This Adat Community Plan (ACP) presents the detailed framework for ensuring that any risks associated with the implementation of the ‘Indonesia REDD+ Results-Based Payment (RBP) for results period 2014-2016’ project (the RBP project) on the rights, lands, territories, and resources of Indigenous Peoples in Indonesia are managed effectively. The ACP describes the mitigation measures that will be implemented to ensure full compliance with UNDP's Social and Environmental Standards.
The final draft document was developed following a field visit to Adat communities in West Sumatra province and focus group discussions on the procedure to acknowledge Adat communities' identity, participation in the program, and complaint delivery mechanism to the government. In 2022, a series of consultations were also held in conjunction with presenting the Environmental and Social Management Plan, where 384 participants were engaged.
The final draft is currently under public consultation from 09 March to 09 April 2023 with written comments should be submitted to:
