In 2020, the UNDP Accelerator Labs Network began its journey to close the gap between current development practices and the world’s fast-moving challenges. With 89 labs in 113 countries, UNDP Accelerator Labs form the world’s fastest and largest learning network that aims to tackle the most pressing and complex sustainable development challenges. The Labs are funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany, the Qatar Fund for Development, along with UNDP Core Partners.

Since its launch in 2021, the UNDP Indonesia Accelerator Lab has adopted a multifaceted approach to tackling Indonesia’s most pressing development challenges. By leveraging diverse innovation tools and methodologies, the Lab bridges the gap between policy frameworks and grassroots solutions. Its key focus areas include smart and sustainable cities, poverty reduction, community resilience, climate action, and environmental sustainability.
