Community Empowerment Hub (SEDAYA) is an initiative designed to provide a sustainable path for people in vulnerable conditions to rise above the poverty line by offering essential skills and support to micro entrepreneurs. Co-created by UNDP Indonesia Accelerator Lab with the Ministry of National Development Planning, Ministry of Social Affairs, Regional Planning and Development Agency of DKI Jakarta, and the Jakarta Office of Social Affairs, SEDAYA builds on existing government community assistance programs to foster long-term economic resilience.

Held on 14-15 November 2024, the initiative empowered 100 micro-enterprises in Jakarta through targeted capacity-building on business sustainability. Participants also underwent business risk profiling/alternative credit scoring to assess their readiness for micro-equity financing from social investors, opening pathways to financial inclusion.

By equipping micro-entrepreneurs with the necessary tools to sustain and expand their businesses, SEDAYA aims to strengthen community resilience—ensuring that poverty reduction efforts are not only impactful but also sustainable in the long run.
