The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Indonesia is aware of fraudulent messages and claims being circulated through email, social media, or other channels, falsely suggesting links to UNDP or offering financial benefits.

These scams may attempt to deceive individuals or organizations by requesting money, offering debt relief, or soliciting personal and financial information. Such communications sometimes misuse the UNDP name, logo, or the United Nations emblem without authorization. They have no connection with UNDP.

Please be aware that:

• UNDP does not provide loans, debt relief, or direct monetary support to individuals, companies, or organizations—even within its official development programmes. UNDP’s financial support is limited to grants and technical assistance delivered through formal partnerships and approved projects.

• UNDP never requests payment at any stage of its work. Requests for personal information or bank details are only made through official UNDP processes and secure channels when individuals are formally engaged as UNDP personnel, experts, vendors, or partners.

• UNDP does not authorize third parties, agents, or private companies to act on its behalf for recruitment, procurement, or financial transactions.

• All official UNDP email addresses end with “@undp.org”. Any communication from other domains should be treated with caution and verified.

• UNDP does not offer prizes, awards, certificates, scholarships, or other financial benefits via email, phone, or social media.

We strongly advise anyone who receives communication that seems suspicious to exercise caution. Financial loss and identity theft can result from responding to such fraudulent messages. UNDP is not responsible for such losses.

If you suspect fraud or receive suspicious messages claiming to be from UNDP:

• Report the matter immediately to your local authorities.

• Notify UNDP by forwarding details to: security@undp.org.
