The Governance and Poverty Reduction unit at UNDP Guyana empowers institutions, communities, and individuals to build a more inclusive, just, and equitable society. Through initiatives that promote transparent governance, access to justice, digital transformation, and social protection, we work to ensure that all Guyanese—especially the most vulnerable—can fully participate in and benefit from national development. By strengthening democratic institutions, supporting citizen engagement, and addressing poverty and inequality at their roots, we are laying the foundation for a more resilient and empowered Guyana where no one is left behind.
