“The media and the new information technologies – impacts and threats” was the topic of this month’s open class for journalists organized by CMICS - the Media Consortium in Guinea-Bissau.

A total of 23 journalists and students participated in this open class, that will now be broadcasted in 16 community radios to ensure it reaches journalists from all over the country.

The media have a key role in promoting access to information and are a vital part of democracy, which is why capacity development is a fundamental aspect for the performance of their duties.
