About us
UNDP has been in Cambodia for more than 50 years now, operating from 1958 to 1975, resuming in a limited capacity in 1980 contributing to emergency relief operations, and formally establishing its offices in Phnom Penh in 1994 with the signature of the Standard Basic Assistance Agreement (SBAA).

Funding and delivery
We manage financial resources from various sources in support of its development efforts in Cambodia. These resources include UNDP Core funding, Official development assistance (ODA), bilateral and multilateral donors, and global trust funds (such as the Global Environment Facility).
Legal framework
Accountability is the obligation to demonstrate that work has been conducted in accordance with agreed rules and standards and report fairly and accurately on performance results vis-à-vis mandated roles and/or plans.
Partners
Partnerships are at the centre of all aspects of our work. Our partners include host governments, donors, the United Nations system, international financial institutions, bilateral agencies, municipalities, the private sector, foundations, civil society and the media.

Gender Equality
Sustainable development is not possible unless people of all genders are included. Gender equality is a core part of UNDP’s mandate and the principle of Leave No One Behind. UNDP uses a human rights-based approach to supporting people of all genders, including gender mainstreaming as well as targeted initiatives to support gender directly.
