About us

Who we are

The UNDP Geneva Office contributes to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals through partnerships, advocacy and policy advisory work with International Geneva partners. We work across the themes of fragility, peace and crisis, human rights, climate action, global health and sustainable finance.

Our role in Geneva

High-level advocacy
As a UNDP representation office we position UNDP throughout international fora events, support delegation visits, policy implementation with permanent missions, and bridge UNDP country offices and regional bureaus to highlight our global programmes with relevant stakeholders.

Programme and Policy Expertise
Our office is an arm extension of UNDP’s portfolio in sustainable finance, human rights, peace building, climate, crisis and resilience. Our staff provide technical guidance and advisory services across our 170 Country Offices to advance national development plans and support to government.

Multilateral and bilateral partnerships and UN inter-agencies coordination
UNDP coordinates with international Geneva, donors, UN Agencies, member states, INGOs, NGOs, academia and the private-sector, as a convening player to position the most pressing development issues.
