The film follows five youth climate leaders from Liberia, Uganda, Pakistan, Colombia, and Bolivia, offering an intimate and global look at what happens when young people are truly trusted to lead change. Generation Trust: A Global Climate Story – Youth4Climate Documentary Screening

As part of our global communications efforts, Youth4Climate is producing a 70-minute documentary titled Generation Trust. The film follows five young climate leaders from Uganda, Liberia, Pakistan, Colombia, and Bolivia, and explores what happens when young people are trusted with the power and resources to shape the future. Their stories are personal, grounded in local realities, and full of insights about courage, community, and action. We are proposing to screen the documentary in the UN Hall Maloca on 20 November, to make it accessible to a truly global audience. The Maloca, like the film, is about breaking down barriers and opening spaces for participation, connection, and learning. The documentary also reflects the spirit of the Global Mutirão, a collective effort to build a more just and regenerative world by sharing experiences, voices, and solutions from the ground up. Hosting the screening in this space would turn the Maloca into a shared storytelling moment, one where young people from across geographies can see themselves, feel connected, and be reminded that their local work is part of something much bigger.
