The 2023 International Anti-Corruption Day (IACD) seeks to highlight the crucial link between anti-corruption and peace, security, and development. The 2023 IACD commemorates the twentieth anniversary of the UN Convention against Corruption (UNCAC).
The 10th Session of the Conference of the States Parties to UN Convention Against Corruption (UNCAC), hosted by the United States Government, will gather global leaders to make policy decisions and to continue its work in charting the way forward for the international community in the prevention and fight against corruption.
The key highlights of UNDP engagement will be:
- Official statement at the Plenary of the Conference of the States Parties (CoSP) to UNCAC
- High level segment side event on Combating Corruption to Protect the Environment, 11 December, 2:00 – 2:50 pm EST
- High level dialogue on Advancing Anticorruption Outcomes Across Multilateral Fora, 11 December, 17:00 – 17:50 pm EST
- Joint launch of a new global initiative for measuring corruption by UNDP and the Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (Nazaha) on 12 December, 13:00 – 13:30 pm.
