This micronarrative report provides an analysis of the position of Roma in the labour markets of the Western Balkans, and the barriers which they continue to face in accessing decent jobs.

The data collected through the 2017 Regional Roma survey is presented and supplemented by a qualitative study (micronarratives) designed to take a more in-depth look at the position of Roma in the labour market, in particular their experience of labour market discrimination, their expectations and preferences regarding the types and characteristics of jobs and the concrete options open to them, etc. This richness of information complements the analysis of the quantitative data and provides valuable inputs and insights to inform future policy and programming interventions.
