Feven is back in business! After the conflict in northern Ethiopia destroyed her tailoring shop, the local government partnered with the Peace Support Facility to provide her with a startup grant.
Following the signing of an agreement for a permanent Cessation of Hostilities (CoHA) between the Government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia (GoE) and the Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF) in Pretoria, South Africa, on 2 November 2022, UNDP launched multipartner programmes around DDR and stabilisation/peace support.
The Peace Support Facility is a time-bound, localised, integrated, civilian stabilisation programme delivered at scale and with speed in order to build trust between communities and legitimate authorities, and lay the foundations for recovery, peacebuilding, and development programmes.
