UNDP in Ethiopia
UNDP and the Government of Ethiopia signed a Standard Basic Assistance Agreement on the 26th February 1981. This Agreement embodied the basic conditions under which the UNDP and its Executing Agencies shall assist the Government in carrying out its development projects, and under which such UNDP-assisted projects shall be executed.
UNDP’s Country Programme is informed by the UNDP Strategic Plan and aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF 2020 – 2025). The UNSDCF has taken full cognizance of the national context, the national development priorities as specified in GTP II and the Sustainable Development Goals.
UNDP supports efforts towards poverty reduction and sustainable human development with a focus on the following three interlinked and transformative components.
