Egypt Refugee and Resilience Response Plan (ERRRP) 2025
Egypt Refugee and Resilience Response Plan (ERRRP) 2025
June 24, 2025
The ERRRP provides strategic guidance to the refugee response in Egypt, lays out the refugee coordination structure across the various sectors, and estimates the financial requirements to respond to the identified humanitarian and development needs. Developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Emigration, and Egyptian Expatriates (MoFA), the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the ERRRP appeals for US $339 million to address the growing needs of refugees, asylum- seekers and host communities.
The appeal brings together 30 partners including the United Nations agencies, humanitarian and development partners, line ministries, government entities, and civil society to support 1.8 million refugees, asylum-seekers, and affected host communities throughout 2025 with life-saving activities and critical services including education, health, protection, cash assistance, livelihoods, and food security.
With almost one million refugees officially registered with UNHCR in the country from 62 nationalities, Egypt is one of the largest refugee host countries on the African continent, providing protection for refugees and asylum-seekers from Sudan, Syria, Yemen, Eritrea and other nationalities.
