Historical background information

Built in 1910, this Mosque is a rectangular building with pitched roof. It stands in place of an old Mosque from the 19th century which collapsed in 1909, according to written sources. A plaque on the new Mosque indicates the date of the completion: 4th June 1910. Against the southeast wall of the buildling, there is a stone staircase which rises to the height of the roof and served as a minaret. In front of the mosque there is a school building and consists of a single chamber.
