Description of investment

Under this project, the following type of goods were purchased and delivered to the relevant organisations:

  • Real-time PCR equipment with supporting items
  • Anaerobic workstation with airlock for the cultivation of microbes
  • Air purifiers
  • Integrated system for automated generation of DNA clonal clusters with supporting kits
Intended beneficiary

Direct beneficiaries: Health organisations in the Turkish Cypriot community

Indirect beneficiaries: the whole Turkish Cypriot community

Scope of works
With the outbreak of the COVID pandemic, the heath facilities in the Turkish Cypriot community showed limitation in their capacities to respond to global pandemics. As a result, support was allocated to increase their preparedness to potential future pandemics.
