Lao PDR received 4.58 million international visitors in 2025, surpassing pre-pandemic levels. This assessment maps plastic use across the tourism value chain in Vientiane, Luang Prabang and Vang Vieng, and sets out priority measures across policy, programming, infrastructure and market development to reduce plastic pollution.
