Summary
Recent advances in artificial intelligence (AI) open up countless opportunities for development while also presenting new challenges and risks. At the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), we want to be part of this conversation and have launched the AI: Argentina Intelligence project. Our aim is to promote public debate on the use of AI for development. Led by the Co_Lab, the Accelerator Lab, the project brings together a range of activities and knowledge products that you will find in this space.
Much in Common: The Themes of Argentine Democracy
As part of the 40th anniversary of the return to democracy, the UNDP Accelerator Lab used artificial intelligence (AI) tools to identify and analyze the themes emerging in presidential speeches, from the return to democracy to the present day.

This exercise also explores how AI can be used to generate inputs that promote democratic dialogue and counter polarization. Once the analysis by theme was completed, we used ChatGPT to generate a single speech that highlights the themes shared across the different speeches.
The Discourse of Democracy Over 40 Years
As part of the 40th anniversary of the return to democracy, the UNDP Accelerator Lab used artificial intelligence tools to generate a unified speech based on all presidential inauguration and legislative opening speeches delivered from the return to democracy to the present day.
