Argentina
Human Development and Policies
Through knowledge, UNDP in Argentina seeks to:
- Generate and measure (using innovative indicators) development and its progress in the country, through a territorially focused approach with national and subnational measurements of the Human Development Index family (Expanded Human Development Index, Inequality-adjusted Human Development Index, Gender Development Index, and Expanded Human Development Index).
- Engage and involve various governmental, academic, and civil society stakeholders (characterized by their diversity and plurality) in the different stages of our work, so that they are an integral part of the documents we develop.
- Coordinate and collaborate through networks, forums, and seminars with government counterparts, universities, research centers, and think tanks, as well as with the UNDP Regional Bureau’s Policy team, UN agencies, and other international organizations focused on development and the SDGs at both the national and regional levels for the appropriation and implementation of relevant strategies.
- Provide technical support for the adaptation of multidimensional indicators such as the MPI.
- Produce publications in the form of Human Development Reports, Working Paper Series, and thematic books such as:
The Policy Series for Recovery: “The Human Development Map”, “Digital Inclusion and Human Development”.
The National Human Development Report 2017: “Information for Sustainable Development. Argentina and the 2030 Agenda”.
The Contributions for Development Series: “Gender in the Health Sector. Feminization and Labor Gaps”, “Gender at Work. Gaps in Access to Decision-Making”.
