This year’s booklet offers an updated and forward-looking guide to sustainable businesses in Albania, inspired by the companies participating in the 2024 edition of the SDG Business Pioneers Award Albania. The publication highlights how Albanian enterprises are embracing sustainability, integrating ESG principles, and increasingly adopting innovations such as artificial intelligence to improve their social, environmental, and economic impact.

The booklet provides an overview of the award, explores global and local sustainability trends, including Albania’s alignment with EU policies, and showcases how businesses across the country are transforming their operations to meet rising expectations.

This knowledge product is published under the UN Joint Project “Business Partnerships and Solutions for SDGs”, implemented by UNDP (lead), FAO, ILO and UNIDO, and funded by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) through the UN Albania SDG Acceleration Fund. The project aims to accelerate the transition of Albanian companies towards sustainable and future-ready practices.
