Albania’s Second National Adaptation Plan (2026–2036) sets a clear roadmap to protect people, nature, and the economy from climate change. Covering agriculture, forestry, energy, transport, urban areas, and tourism, it includes 66 priority measures with targeted investments—from modernizing infrastructure and managing water and forests to improving energy systems, urban planning, and coastal protection. The plan combines resilient infrastructure, nature-based solutions, and climate-smart practices to reduce risks from floods, heatwaves, droughts, landslides, and sea-level rise, ensuring Albania’s communities and economy are safe, sustainable, and ready for the future.
