Children from Africa and Japan meet, dream, and create the future together. AFRICA WEEK is an interactive event of creativity and connection, held at the UN Pavilion of Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai. 

Organized by the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and aligned with TICAD9, this event highlights the significance of a mutually respectful partnership between Africa and Japan. Through diverse cultural, artistic, and digital experiences, it creates a platform for the next generation to shape a shared future. 

 

 

Join the Children's Dream Postcard Campaign – Submit Your Artwork! 

Theme: You and I, Weaving Together a Pledge for the Future 
Express your dreams and think about how they can connect with Africa. 

How to participate: 

  1. Draw a picture of your dreams.
  2. Write a short message about what you would like to do with people in Africa, or what you hope to experience in Africa 30 years from now. 

Format: A4-size illustrated postcard 
Deadline: Tuesday, June 30, 2025
