On the Road to 2030: UNDP and Global Fund Support for Zimbabwe’s HIV Response in 2024
In 2024, Zimbabwe made notable progress toward ending AIDS as a public health threat, thanks to the ongoing partnership between UNDP and the Global Fund. Over 1.9 million people were tested for HIV, with nearly 95% of those testing positive starting treatment. The country achieved high rates of viral suppression, improved access to prevention for adolescent girls, young women, and key populations, and expanded life-saving services across the nation. Major infrastructure improvements—including solar-powered health facilities, community-led monitoring systems, and digitized supply chains—further strengthened the national response.
This annual report comprehensively captures the results of the strategic actions and programmatic interventions of the UNDP and Global Fund Project in 2024.
