Welcome to the March–April 2026 edition of the GCF-Climate Resilient Livelihoods Project Newsletter. This edition highlights the continued progress being made in strengthening climate resilience and improving livelihoods across project-supported communities in Southern Zimbabwe.
During the period under review, irrigation schemes continued to expand production under climate-proofed infrastructure, with farmers recording encouraging yields in maize, sugar beans, chilli peppers, wheat, and Michigan pea beans. The project also strengthened market linkages through private sector partnerships, contract farming arrangements, and farmer-led market research trainings aimed at improving household incomes and promoting market-oriented production.
