This edition comes at an important moment for the project, marked by the Green Climate Fund Secretariat’s inaugural Country Engagement and Programming Mission to Zimbabwe. The mission provided an opportunity to witness climate finance in action—from climate-resilient irrigation and Farmer Field Schools to innovation platforms, climate information services, and inclusive livelihood interventions.

Beyond the mission, this edition showcases the breadth of work underway to strengthen resilience across southern Zimbabwe. We share progress from irrigation schemes, where farmers continue to translate investments in reliable water into production and livelihoods; the growing maturity of Farmer Field Schools; community savings and financial inclusion; improved climate data; and emerging approaches to drought insurance, anticipatory action, and resilient livestock markets.
