UN Zambia Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework

November 8, 2022

The United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF) presents the collective offer of the UN System to strengthen Zambia’s progress towards the SDGs and the implementation of its international legal obligations. Aligned with Zambia's Eighth National Development Plan (8NDP), the UNSDCF acts as a guide for the individual UN agencies and their programmes, and serves as an accountability document between the UN System and the Government of Zambia.

Through the four strategic priority areas, guided by the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and aligned with the 8NDP, the programme interventions developed by each agency will target all people in Zambia, with a particular focus on women, youth and children, the internally displaced and stateless, refugees, former refugees, asylum seekers and migrants.

Further attention will be given to marginalized and vulnerable groups, including persons with disabilities, people living with HIV, people living in remote and hard-to-reach areas and all others in substantial risk of being left behind.
