Partnerships

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is committed to helping the Government of Zambia achieve its National Development Goals, outlined in the National Development Plan and The Zambia Vision 2030, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). As UNDP Zambia, we recognise that addressing development challenges requires a multi-faceted approach, which includes different players from a diverse range of sectors.

These partnerships provide improved implementation of our programmes and offer a more efficient and effective approach. They unfold opportunities for innovation, creative collaboration, resource mobilization, and enhance the quality of programmes, generating a clear added value that is not achievable in isolation.

Partnerships are at the heart of how we implement our programmes and projects because the greatest challenges require collaboration with different stakeholders working in different interventions to better the lives of the Zambian people.

UNDP therefore, works with the Government of the Republic of Zambia, other UN agencies, Cooperating Partners , Civil Society Organisations and the private sector towards achieving the sustainable development agenda.

Along with establishing cooperating and implementing partnerships, the support we receive to implement our four broad programmatic areas; democratic governance, economic development, social and human development, and conflict prevention and security, is received from financing partnerships that necessitate the success of our programmes and projects.
