What we do

UNDP works with the Government and people of Zambia to achieve the vision 2030 , the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the implementation of Government's development plans. Our work in the country, is guided corporately by the UNDP Strategic Plan, the United Nations Sustainable Development Partnership Framework and our Country Programme Document (CPD). We are structured around four distinct and yet interlinked programmatic areas; environment and energy, governance and gender, inclusive growth and SDGs; and health systems strengthening for the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.

Stewards of The Next Innovation Generation

Set inside the hum of fablabs and the quiet courage of first steps into leadership, this story follows three young women navigating the Mukuba UniPod NextGen Managers Programme as they learn to turn ideas into impact. Through hands-on training, mentorship, and real responsibility, Mable, Patience, and Retiana are discovering how innovation ecosystems work, and how their can presence reshape Zambia's future. Their journeys reveal how confidence, access, and community can transform individual ambition into ripples that travel across Zambia’s innovation landscape, opening doors for others to follow.
