Following the unveiling of the 2024 National Budget by the Honourable Minister of Finance and National Planning, Dr Situmbeko Musokotwane, MP, on Friday, 29th September 2023, there has been heightened interest in the Public to understand what the Budget entails. 

Moreso, that the timing of the Budget reading coincides with growing domestic concerns about the rising food prices, and the recently released poverty statistics which show that a significant portion of the population had slipped back into poverty.

This budget analysis provides an overview of the Zambia's current economic context and the road map to address evolving issue, specifically through private sector involvement.
