Towards Inclusive Workplaces: Recommendations for Accessible and Participatory Employment in the Textile Sector
January 26, 2026
This report was prepared within the Project on Strengthening Supply Chains in Türkiye, implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in cooperation with the Ministry of Labour and Social Security and with the financial support of the Government of Iceland. It aims to support the equal and effective participation of persons with disabilities in employment within the textile sector.
With a particular focus on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), the report examines how inclusive workplace policies can be developed in line with a human rights–based approach and the framework of human rights and environmental due diligence (HREDD). Offering comprehensive recommendations ranging from recruitment processes and workplace accessibility to training and performance monitoring, the report serves as a guide for businesses in creating non-discriminatory, accessible, and sustainable employment models.
