Sectoral Assessment Report of the Project on Strengthening Supply Chains in Türkiye

January 26, 2026

This report was prepared within the Project on Strengthening Supply Chains in Türkiye, implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in cooperation with the Ministry of Labour and Social Security and with the financial support of the Government of Iceland. It aims to strengthen human rights–based, inclusive, and sustainable practices in supply chains, particularly in the post-earthquake context.

The report seeks to support the private sector’s alignment with human rights and environmental due diligence (HREDD) processes and to enhance institutional capacity in line with international regulations and good practices. With a particular focus on the textile and ready-to-wear sectors in the aftermath of the earthquakes, the report assesses the current state of employment—especially for persons with disabilities and women—and offers recommendations on how corporate practices within the sector can be strengthened.

By providing concrete and applicable recommendations on risk analysis, policy development, monitoring, and improvement mechanisms in supply chains, the report aims to contribute to companies’ legal compliance while also strengthening their competitiveness.
