On Saturday May 9^th 2020, with its new concept “Festtogether AtHome” has been streamed live bringing music and other performances to audiences in isolation. Turkey’s first sustainable music festival Festtogether originally started in Istanbul last September with the motto: “Have Fun, Leave No Trace Behind” in partnership with UNDP, EU, various NGOs and private sector companies.

Festtogether AtHome streamed live all day on “Netd Music” channel on YouTube and “YouTube Turkey” channel calling to meet the needs which have emerged during the Covid-19 pandemic through the “NeedsMap” cooperative. The festival which reached hundreds of thousands of supporters through the unifying power of music attracted many celebrity performers.

The audiences supported the cause through NeedsMap, a non-profit platform cooperative,

founded in 2015, with over ninety thousand members and 350 partner NGOs which enabled supporters to meet over 1,5 million needs.

The 15,5 hour live stream attracted over 12 million 459 thousand views.

Festtogether was organized to meet the needs of, primarily, frontline healthcare workers, as well as the ICT needs of students as they switch to distance learning, the needs of performing arts workers and technical workers in the music industry.
