The “Life is Easy in Digital” Project, implemented in collaboration with Türk Telekom, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and the Habitat Association, provides women with the opportunity to establish and grow their businesses in the digital world. Since 2019, nearly 40,000 women have benefited from face-to-face and online training offered under the project, and the mentoring and grant program for 2025 is currently underway. All women entrepreneurs over the age of 18 who have participated in the project’s training sessions and workshops are eligible to apply for the program. Applications will be accepted across seven categories: Digital Solutions and Software, Artificial Intelligence, Rural Development, Traditional Handicrafts, Social Entrepreneurship, Creative Industries, and Sustainability and Environment. Mentorship support will be provided to 40 women entrepreneurs selected from among the applicants in these categories. At the end of the program, 20 entrepreneurs will receive a total of 2 million TL in grant funding.
Arif Sancaktaroğlu, Director of Corporate Communication at Türk Telekom, said: “As Türk Telekom, the pioneer of Türkiye’s digital transformation, we act with an awareness of technology’s role in equalizing opportunities and create ‘Value to Türkiye’ projects. Since 2019, through our ‘Life is Easy in Digital’ project, we have been guiding women entrepreneurs who have limited access to technology or are unsure where to begin, supporting their full and equal participation in economic life. Through training, workshops, mentoring, and our grant program, we aim not only to equip women with the skills to use digital tools effectively, but also to give them the courage and inspiration to create their own success stories. I believe this year’s mentoring and grant process will prove valuable for all participants. We will continue to strengthen women’s presence in the digital world and invest in our country’s future by supporting more women to realize their dreams.”
Hatice Güner Kal, Vice President of the TOBB Women Entrepreneurs Council, said: “Increasing the participation of women entrepreneurs in the economy and strengthening their presence in the business world is of vital importance for our country’s development journey. At the TOBB Women Entrepreneurs Council, we not only encourage women to establish businesses, but also prioritize supporting them in growing their enterprises sustainably. The Life is Easy in Digital project enables our women entrepreneurs to seize the opportunities of the digital age, develop new business models, and enhance their competitiveness. Through this collaboration, we believe that women’s success stories will multiply, leading to impactful ventures both locally and globally. The greater inclusion of women’s power in the economy will enrich not only the entrepreneurial ecosystem, but also the overall well-being of society.”
Hansın Doğan, UNDP Türkiye Strategic Partnerships and Private Sector Program Manager, said: “The Life is Easy in Digital project aims to foster a more equitable, sustainable, and prosperous future by advancing women’s economic empowerment. Unlocking the full potential of women entrepreneurs to launch and scale businesses will fuel faster growth in the Turkish economy through new business ideas, products, and services. By accelerating inclusive business models that address the needs of all segments of society, we can help build a more resilient economic structure. We are proud to continue supporting women entrepreneurs in this new phase of the project.”
