Sports and social good united in the Turkcell Granfondo Road Cycling Race, which was held in Istanbul for the first time on June 13.

Racers carried the 17 Sustainable Development Goals on their jerseys with the motto "Take Action for Change" for a better world.

Cyclists pedalled to provide educational scholarships for the children of health care workers who lost their lives during the fight against the pandemic.

All the racers were able to upload their own photos to the created social media cards and share them on social media to invite everyone to contribute to creating educational scholarships for the children.

While the electronic waste brought to the race area was sent for recycling, the income from recycling also turned into educational scholarships.

Sculptor Mervan Altınorak designed a bicycle from electronic waste for Turkcell to draw attention to the recycling of electronic waste in homes and this artwork was exhibited in the race area.
