UNDP Thailand Annual Report 2022-2023

January 17, 2025

2022 brought a long-awaited decline of the COVID-19 pandemic; it was also marked by global crises. Conflict in the heart of Europe translated into economic crises worldwide, including Thailand, affecting international trade and causing commodity price inflation. The world also saw natural disasters highlighting the seriousness of climate change and the urgency of climate action.

For UNDP in Thailand, this was the first year of a new Country Programme (2022-2026) aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework. Shifting focus from COVID-19 response to accelerating progress on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), we focused on SDG financing and localization. Key initiatives included launching the SDG Investor Map and advancing sub-national efforts to mobilize local stakeholders.

This publication highlights UNDP’s efforts to strengthen rights-based approaches in biodiversity protection, climate action, and policy innovation. It also showcases the integration of inclusive methodologies to ensure no one is left behind. Through strong partnerships with government, civil society, and communities, UNDP continues to advance sustainable solutions for Thailand’s development challenges.
